Soft Tissue Injuries Associated with Proximal Tibia Fractures

چکیده
The purpose of this study was to document the pattern ligament and meniscal injuries that occur with proximal tibia fractures due high energy trauma. Seventy patients high-energy mechanisms were evaluated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) knee. All studies reported by a single musculoskeletal radiologist who blinded surgical physical findings. Of 70 patients, there 42 AO/OTA type 41B2 (60%) fractures. On average, % sustained complete tear or avulsion one both cruciates.70% collateral injury.91% had lateral pathology.40% medial meniscus tears. Schatzker II injuries, in which 90% tear, 80% MCL ACL 66% PCL LCL tear. We adopted chi-square test find association. In our study, we found is significant association between footprint (p value-0.038), partial value-0.048), value-0.023). Also value- 0.019), value-0.007). But no ACL, PCL, MCL, value >0.05). conclude MRI scanning should be considered for mechanism, would help identify treat associated soft tissue injuries. Keywords: Soft injury, Proximal fracture, Magnetic imaging, LCL, Medial meniscus.

Soft tissue injuries associated with pelvic fractures.
Significant soft tissue injuries often occur as part of high-energy injuries to the pelvis. These soft tissue injuries must be recognized and considered when implementing a treatment plan if complications are to be minimized. Vigilance in diagnosing open fractures must be maintained. Patients with these injuries must be managed aggressively, because they are at high risk for complications and d...
متن کاملManagement of soft tissue injuries associated with tibial plateau fractures.
Tibial plateau fractures or knee fracture-dislocations often result from trauma or sporting injuries. Given the subcutaneous position of the knee and upper tibia, without much intervening soft tissue, any such injury can be associated with significant soft tissue damage. Thus, consideration of the degree of soft tissue injury must be part of the treatment plan. Specific management decisions reg...
متن کاملPartial proximal tibia fractures
Partial tibial plateau fractures may occur as a consequence of either valgus or varus trauma combined with a rotational and axial compression component.High-energy trauma may result in a more complex and multi-fragmented fracture pattern, which occurs predominantly in young people. Conversely, a low-energy mechanism may lead to a pure depression fracture in the older population with weaker bone...
متن کاملInjuries Associated with Femoral Shaft Fractures with Special Emphasis on Occult Injuries
Background: Fractures of the femoral shaft are mostly the result of high-energy accidents that also cause multiple trauma injuries, in particular ipsilateral knee and hip injuries. The purpose of this study was to investigate the incidence of injuries associated with femoral shaft fractures and how many of them were undetected. Methods: We studied 148 patients (150 femoral shaft fractures) wi...

INTRODUCTION Tactic of emergency closing of soft tissue defect allows to significantly improve the treatment results concerning patients with severe open fractures. However, a number of certain factors make the implementation of this tactic rather difficult. Injured people's unstable conditions are mong these crucial factors which include, polytrauma in lots of cases, absence of exact recommend...
